Moist Chocolate Cake
Method
Sift 3 cups of flour, 6 tablespoon of cocoa powder, 2 tsp of baking soda, ½ tsp salt.
Whisk 2 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tsp vinegar, ½ cup oil. Whisk until the sugar gets dissolved.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well with help of hand mixer. Pour the batter into a greased oven pan or parchment paper lined. I used parchment paper since it is easy to clean.
Pre- heat the oven to 350 F and bake for 35 – 40 minutes. Keep checking once in a while, and insert a tooth pick into the cake, if the tooth pick comes out without sticky of cakes, you are all set. Take the pan from the oven.
Let it cool and keep in the fridge. Serve it cold.

Mitr.. thanks for dropping by....
Shipla you are welcome to do that:)
Prema, vinegar acts as an acidity and helps the cake to rise reacting with the baking soda--you can use lime extract or baking powder....
The cake looks GREAT Priya...wonderfully moist and chocolatey...I am definitely going to give this one a try. I always thought eggs were must to get such moist cakes..Thank you soo much for the recipe !! :-)

I have a question? You said that its 6 tsp of cocoa powder but in photo it looks lot more, and chows recipes says 6 tablespoons which one is right?Clear my doubt please.
Deepa, those are the updates which I added to my template recently -- so when a blogger updates I will know it by the " smilies". It pops out for the updated blogs:)
Radha... that is 6tsp--- I swifted the chocolate powder-so it got spreaded-- to avoid lumps while mixing it...

Hi Priya,
I'm a novice cook and become a good fan of your blog - this was one recipe I did try out, there was just one confusion - you mention tsp in the measurements, is that teaspoon or tablespoon ? (I know by convention its teaspoon but the chocolate recipe where you picked it up from states tablespoon). Hope you can make that a bit more clear from now on as anything I cook at home is based on your great recipe blog :) - great pics too!
Thanks Jish for pointing out-- thats my mistake --- I corrected it :)

Here's how to make delicious chocolate covered strawberries. First of all ensure that the strawberries you are intending to use are dry, then allow them to be room temperature warm prior to making them. After the strawberries have been covered in chocolate, put them in your refrigerator to cool, but do not store them in the fridge. Consume within 1-2 days.
Your chocolate cake looks and sounds delicious. I often bake cakes with eggs but as many member of my family are of Indian descent I try to accommodate by making eggless cakes. I have manage to make a quite moist and fluffy sugee/semolina cake. All I did was soaking the rawa/sugee flour in milk mix with curd for about 1 hour first. Adding a tablespoon of white vinegar last before baking helps. No after taste at all of vinegar. The acid in the vinegar encourage reaction with the baking powder. Keep the good stuff coming. Will check your blog frequently. Cheers.(Check my site: www.redsstudio.com - I develop recipes and style food professionally in and out of Malaysia.) Peng SC Shekar Kuala Lumpur
Priya,
Choc cake looks too tempting...Ur presentation is super cool. The way u present makes even some difficult recipes look simple .
I am a huge fan of cakes and had always wanted to make it. In my family, cake baking was very rarely indulged in and most of the cake baking was done in pressure cooker(with results not much assured).
Could u, in ur blog add some basic tips about baking. Because most of the people in my friends circle do not know much about baking, its utensils etc..So though all of us want to bake we have this initial hiccups... , so we all look forward to see a few tips about baking in ur blog..
waiting for it
